Among the most common side effects seen in people taking this medicine include anxiety or nervousness, insomnia, drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, weakness, runny nose, sore throat, headache, flu symptoms, diarrhea, changes in appetite resulting in weight loss or gain, and sexual side effects (reduced arousal or satisfaction). Most side effects are mild and brief, usually subsiding in a week or two after beginning treatment, but sexual side effects often persist.. However, some side effects such as seizure or convulsions, tremors, shivering, twitching, muscle stiffness, agitation, confusion, sweating profusely, fast or irregular heartbeat, problems with balance or coordination, allergic reactions, and a blistering skin rash may be serious and life threatening and need immediate medical attention.
